Our plans changed.....

We did not make it to St. Paul to visit Granna. My poor Granna broke her foot while she was in Baltimore. So, she came home instead of going to Minnesota. Because we already had the tickets, Mommy, Caroline, and I have vouchers to help us fly anywhere in the whole wide world! We have a year to use them! Guess we will have to start planning a trip.......

My New Stroller

Yeah....I got a new stroller! I really needed a lighter one for our trip to St. Paul. With all of the shopping, a comfortable stroller was an absolute necessity! After Daddy got it put together, my teddy bear and I took a nice stroll around the house. Of course, teddy had to be buckled in...safety first!

On Friday, we went to Nana's in Lonoke to visit and eat dinner. Mom, Dad, and I ate with Nana, Aunt Sara, Wade, and Natalie. After eating dinner, I ate an entire ice cream cone for dessert! Everyone was surprised that I ate the whole cone and all! Ice cream is SO yummy!

After we ate, I got to visit with Aunt Sandra and Nana's cousin, Gina (Gigi), who was in town from Memphis. Mommy and Aunt Sandra got to have some school and teaching talk! While they were doing that, I got to play with Natalie and Wade. I had lots of fun! We eventually got worn out and made a pallet on the floor. I love you, Natalie and Wade! Let's get together again soon!

Chattin' with Granna

Since Granna has been gone, I have been talking to her on the phone. This is the first time I have really taken to the phone. I took it from Mommy and walked around, while telling Granna everything that was going on here! I am not sure that Granna understood every word, but I think she got the jist of my conversation!

M for Morgan!!

In the bath, I love to play and write with my bath crayons! My favorite letter is "M" and I have gotten pretty good at writing it. I can spell my name and am working on writing my letters.

"Want to hold you, Granna!" ---Morgan

Today, my Granna left for Baltimore for a week and half. From there, she will fly directly to Minneapolis/St. Paul. She will be gone for a total of 5 weeks. Luckily, my mommy, Caroline (my cousin), and I are going to fly to Minnesota to visit her on August 3 (Mommy's birthday). I miss you, Granna!

"A horse is the projection of peoples' dreams about themselves - strong, powerful, beautiful..." ---Pam Brown

Last weekend, my mom, Granna, and I went to the Broach's, our cousins, to see the horses and to swim. We got to visit with Mary, my Granna's cousin, and feed some apples to her horses, Jumper, Rusty, and Speck. I really like Rusty, and we think he was pretty fond of me too! He let me give him several hugs and even a little kiss!

I kept telling Mommy that I wanted to ride, but she said I was too little! Maybe I can go for a ride with Mary sometime! I had a blast! Thank you so much, Mary and Joel for letting me visit and feed Jumper, Rusty, and Speck! P.S.--Give Rusty a big hug for me!

Granna and I have been growing cherry and grape tomatoes. I get to pick them once they are red enough! I love tomatoes so much that I have to eat them as soon I pick them. They are delicious!

I also really like playing on my slide outside! I am not too fond of the swing with this set! I have another swing hanging from a tree that I love! On that swing, I can go SO high!

"....but he was still hungry." ---Eric Carle

On Mondays, Mommy has been taking me to story time at the library. I love it! I get to sing lots of songs, dance around, listen to a story read by Ms. Debbie, and then do a craft! It is great! Last Monday, we read The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle. After reading, we made a caterpillar headband. We even glued on googly eyes! They were too cute! I liked my headband so much that I wore it ALL day!

"No man needs a vacation so much as the man who just had one." --Elbert Hubbard

While on vacation, we went to The Track, which had lots of fun stuff to do! They had 3 different go-kart tracks, miniature golf, kiddie rides, bumper boats, and an arcade. I went with Mom, Dad, Aunt Nana, Uncle Papa, and my cousins, William, Caroline, and David.

First, I rode on a train with a little boy. I made it around the track once, before I got scared! They stopped the train so Mom could come get me. The little boy was bored with the train, so he got off too!

I rode the bumper boats with Aunt Nana. We had fun and got really wet! William kept on spraying us in the face. Later on, Aunt Nana and Uncle Papa ended up getting William back! They blocked him in under the spraying fountain! He got soaked!

I also rode the carousel several times. I got to pick out which horse I rode on! They even had zebras and giraffes on the carousel. But they didn't go up and down, so I didn't pick them!

Having fun at the Track was a great way to end our family vacation! Thank you Aunt Nana and Uncle Papa for letting us come with you guys! I am so lucky that I get to stay with Aunt Nana and Uncle Papa during the week when both mom and grandfather are working! I love you both!

We all had a blast on our vacation and enjoyed being with our family! Already looking forward to next year!

Go fly a kite!

While we were on the beach, I flew my very first kite! It had Pooh, Piglet, and Tigger on it. It ended up getting it to fly VERY high in the sky!

Everyone said I did really good! And it only got away from me twice. Grandfather chased after it so I didn't lose it! Then he gave it back to me. Thanks, Grandfather!

"Zoo animals are ambassadors for their cousins in the wild." -- Jack Hanna

While on vacation in Gulf Shores, I went to the zoo with Mom, Dad, Granna, Grandfather, and my cousins, William and Caroline. After rebuilding from three hurricanes, the Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo was recognized on Animal Planet, in which a show detailing the zoo was created. It was entitled The Little Zoo that Could, which is now associated with this Gulf Shores landmark.
At the zoo, we got to feed the animals! It was quite impressive! I got to feed a reindeer, goat, deer, sheep, duck, fish, turtle, swan, and pelican. One goat liked the food so much that it took William's entire cup of food right out of his hand! The cup was stuck on over the goat's mouth until he finished eating! It was pretty funny!

I really liked seeing the monkeys! They are my favorite animal right now! When we are driving from our house to Granna and Grandfather's, we pass through the woods. I always look outside and point at the trees and tell my mom to "Look, monkeys!" I know that monkeys like to climb trees!
We also saw several beautiful lions and tigers. One tiger was cooling off by taking a bath! It was cute!

Vogler Family Beach Trip

Every year, my grandfather's side of the family takes a trip together. It used to be camping, but within the past several years, it has become a beach trip! This year, we went to Gulf Shores, AL. We left Saturday, June 16 and came home yesterday. It was a very long drive there! Luckily, I rode with in the van with my Granna and Grandfather. We watched Elmo, Finding Nemo, more Elmo, Cars, and did I say Elmo?

The pictures below were taken when we first arrived at our house on the beach. I loved it! Can you tell? My pants got so wet that we had to take them off before playing in the sand!
